Vergleichshai — a B2B procurement platform shipped as releases, not vibes
Four applications, one monorepo: public marketplace, seller portal, admin, and partner app for smart B2B purchasing in Germany
The product
Vergleichshai is a smart B2B procurement platform for German companies — businesses compare and buy, sellers manage their catalog and orders, and the platform keeps both sides honest. It is a Ventus venture: our longest-running, most platform-shaped codebase.
What we're building
Four applications, one system. A public shop, a seller portal, an admin backend, and a partner app — separate Next.js applications in one monorepo, sharing an API and a file service. Each audience gets its own surface; the domain logic lives once.
A real order lifecycle. Orders move through a proper state machine on both the buyer and seller side — placed, confirmed, fulfilled, and every unhappy path in between — with seller verification flows in front of it, because a B2B marketplace is only as trustworthy as its worst seller.
Releases, not pushes. The platform ships as versioned release cuts with notes — deliberate increments with a paper trail, deployed by CI. When something changes in production, there is a version number that says exactly what and when.
Built for the long haul. Environment-gated production builds, per-app dev ports, seeded test data, task-tracked development — the boring disciplines that keep a multi-app platform evolvable after hundreds of releases.
The state of it
Vergleichshai is live and under active development — the order lifecycle recently completed across buyer and seller, with release notes to prove it. As our own venture, it is also our stress test: every architecture pattern we recommend to clients gets to survive contact with reality here first.
