Ventus Invest — a business-plan engine you can argue with
A template-driven financial planning platform: pick a business model, challenge every assumption, export a plan worth showing a bank
The idea
Most business plans are a spreadsheet someone built once, full of formulas nobody dares touch. Ventus Invest replaces that with an engine: each business type — vacation rentals, restaurants, hotels — plugs into a generic projection core with its own revenue logic, cost presets, commission sources, and labels. Same math discipline, different business, minutes instead of weekends.
What we built
Templates that know their industry. A vacation-rental plan thinks in occupancy, seasons, and platform commissions; a restaurant thinks in covers and margins. The engine underneath is shared — the assumptions are the template's.
Assumptions you can challenge. Every cost line is editable, financing and tax get their own modals, price curves are adjustable — and the monthly and multi-year projections recalculate live. The plan is an argument you can have, not a PDF you inherit.
Output that leaves the app. One click renders a clean PDF report; share links publish a read-only view of a plan — a business investment planner whose results you can hand to a partner or a bank.
Numbers you can trust. The projection engine is guarded by 600+ unit tests plus end-to-end suites — because a financial tool that's subtly wrong is worse than no tool.
The result
An honest planning instrument and a demonstration of our favorite pattern: a generic core with pluggable domain templates. It's the same architecture thinking we bring to client platforms — here applied to money.
